I agree with much of what you said, including about Ann and the creep bartender. It is sickening that on most paths the innocent and intelligent Ann quickly becomes sexually involved with the creep, often under the influence of drugs or alcohol, but then she also has exhibitionistic unprotected sex with two strangers, another huge discrepancy in character. Given that these acts are unlikely to be undone in the game, maybe her conscience or common sense could kick in at some point despite outside influence? I get corruption stories, but I have a hard time understanding and enjoying such wild inconsistencies in character. She would have experienced peer pressure many times before, and thus to suddenly and unabashedly fall in line with others' extreme expectations is absurd.
How do I reset the settings? I swear there was some pop up at the start with some kind of warning and it might of changed something, making scenes skip with Emily... After the date with Alex Emily goes to hug MC after he tells her about it and shes wearing clothing, then the scene changes to MC being in her bed naked talking about Cumming on her leg (that never happened) and she's now topless going to give MC a hug, the warps back to MC being outside the door looking in. Before trying to wake Emily up MC was going to sleep in his bed then it warped to her bed and back again. Also happened in an earlier scene.

Then another path sees her increasingly become involved with the same sleazy bartender as part of a revenge sex route. For an individual who supposedly is smart and wants to attend med school, it sure isn't difficult for her slut friend Vanessa to get her to take an unspecified drug, and she is far too susceptible to undue influence, to the point of hypocrisy. I hope that Emily and Alex are handled better throughout the game because as it currently stands the two females with the most action (Vanessa and Ann) are quite dislikable along most paths.
Even in one of the main (relatively milder) paths, Ann becomes an exhibitionist who has rough unprotected sex with strangers, a high risk behavior for contracting STDs. And I'm expected to believe that this straight laced, aspiring medical student goes through that extreme of changes in a matter of days?

The first time I played Long Story Short, I focused more on Ann than on Vanessa even though I did cheat on Ann with Vanessa and at first, I disliked Vanessa because she was too easy, she was not a challenge to get into her pants which removes the fun of it, until she and I grew closer and then she became really interesting because then I learned that there is more to her than just sleeping around with everyone to the point that I grew to prefer fun free-minded Vanessa over boring conformist Ann.
Usually I dislike cheating because it is betrayal of trust, I prefer being honestly open with my relationships.
However Vanessa made me enjoy cheating on my girlfriend and my best friend with his girlfriend because it made us grow closer as we were accomplices in the crime and the cheating couple that we have grown to be is really fun, we even team up to have our way with other couples and make them cheat on each other with us, she seduces the man while I seduce the woman and we have our way with both of them separately while they are oblivious that they cheated on each other at the same time, that’s a riot! 🤣
I grew to genuinely love Vanessa because of how much fun our relationship is so when this game was last updated half a year ago, I restarted it and I focused on Vanessa from the start this time.
And holy curse! I had missed out so much more fun with her when I focused on Ann the first time!
This game is really the most fun when you choose Vanessa over Ann from the start because Vanessa is so much more fun than Ann and the closer you grow together, the more she involves you into her wild fun and that’s always a riot to the point that I wish she was real! 😆

For "I'm sorry, but you have to go" and "Webcame show" you should play with NTR on and control off (the first two questions of the game)
Then, you should play the non-corruption path for Ann, and during the Ferris wheel date, you should tell her to stop seeing Chris.
It will unlock the first wo.
For Chris offered to help, again, you should pick the first two options (NTR + control off) and play Ann's corruption path, and refuse to go to Chris's house later on.
Ann will start sending the MC pics and this is the last one :)

Did anyone have trouble with the Alpha version of the game closing or crashing? The old version beta would run without issue on Windows 7, but not the new alpha.
When I tried to upgrade the engine it caused some crashes for Win 7 users. I downgraded it since and updated the links to the previous version and right now it matches the last version.

The zip file needs to be decompressed. If you are on your phone, do you need an apk file? I'm not sure if this game can be played on a mobile phone. I guess you need to ask the author. I can't buy this game on Steam in my country, so I can only obtain it through other means. So far, I haven't seen an Android version available

You need to extract the zip and run the lss executable

Easier to use with the steam deck instead of adding the .sh file to steam to play in gaming mode.
And if you have steam achievements etc. Those features as well. But mostly less tinkering for Steam Deck.
